Initially beginning as a small town in the 1950s, Petaling Jaya, or as it is affectionately known to locals as ‘PJ’, is now a thriving city. Extensive development in the last two decades has seen PJ grow into a bustling metropolis populated by many commercial and residential districts.

Petaling Jaya is also a prominent foodie and recreational destination for locals and visitors. The city is also known for an area with several malls, which are highly frequented each weekend.

The city is located close to Kuala Lumpur as well as neighbourhoods such as Bangsar, Mont Kiara and Damansara. Finding one’s way around PJ is also made easy with numerous bus routes as well as centrally located LRT and MRT stations.
