Malaysian performing artists, visual artists and independent musicians are encouraged to apply to the Capacity Building Funding Programme that supports professional development and curation of public outreach programmes for/by of the people who are actively engaged in the Malaysian arts and culture sector.
The programme aims to provide funding assistance to Malaysian artists and cultural workers as part of CENDANA’s ‘Empowering the Communities’ strategic pillar.
GRANT VALUE
The
Capacity Building Funding Programme supports direct expenses for you to participate or organise professional development and public outreach programmes (up to RM15,000) per application per calendar year to successful applicants who are actively engaged in the Malaysian arts and culture sector with a minimum of three (3) years of track record.
WHAT WE SUPPORT
The Capacity Building Funding Programme primarily supports:
Artists and cultural workers to attend professional development and public outreach programmes in Malaysia only (such as forum, workshops, conferences, exchanges etc.);
Organise workshops, masterclasses, forums, exchanges and many other professional development and public outreach programmes with a focus in arts and culture, to be conducted in Malaysia only.
CENDANA’s funding programme are introduced to provide financial assistance in a form of conditional grant to individual(s), duly incorporated and registered companies, associations or societies in Malaysia.
The funding support is conducted through a highly competitive evaluation process by the Industry Advisory Panel and the Management against stipulated criteria and strength of relevant supporting materials provided during the application.
Should you be interested to attend a professional development programme beyond Malaysia post the Movement Control Order and after any restrictions put in place local or international governments is lifted, then you are required to apply through CENDANA’s Mobility Funding Programme.
