• In Budget 2021, a total of RM15 million is allocated to the Cultural Economy Development Agency, CENDANA to implement various arts and culture programs that will benefit more than 5,000 artists and the production crew. Efforts under the Budget 2021 include the PRISMA package and other CENDANA Recovery Initiatives.

    PRISMA stands for Malaysian Creative Industries Stimulus Package. PRISMA is one of Ministry of Communications & Multimedia's key short-term initiatives to support and encourage sustainability of industry practitioners in Malaysia in line with the new normal following the COVID-19 pandemic and in compliance with the Movement Control Order currently in place.

    Crafts Industry Choice aims to elevate the Malaysian handicrafts industry by offering recognitions and special acknowledgements to Malaysian artisans, craft makers and producers of traditional arts, crafts and endangered trades for the sustainability of the Malaysian crafts economy.

    Through a multipronged approach, the Crafts Industry Choice selects and incentivises equitable skilled artisans, craft makers, and producers nationwide for the development and production of their products.

    In the spirit of conserving and sustaining artisanal work, the Crafts Industry Choice encourages skilled Malaysian artisans in the crafts sector to continue producing, innovating and marketing their crafts as a direct contribution to the crafts economy by submitting their applications or by nominating others in the crafts industry.

    Create Now Funding Programme aims to cultivate and support artistic development and presentation of ideas in imaginative ways despite physical limitation to resources.

    Arts Organisation Resilience Funding Programme provides support to registered artistic organisations, associations and societies across the performing arts, visual arts, independent music as well as crafts sectors for arts continuity, development for resilience and supporting sustainability. The aim of the funding programme includes supporting practice and operations of Malaysian arts organisations nationwide.

    Arts Organisation Resilience Funding Programme supports up to RM 150,000 per arts organisation for the duration of twelve (12) months.

    Arts Venue Recovery Programme hopes to prepare, train and transition performing arts, visual arts, independent music as well as crafts venue owners nationwide to be ready in preparing safe and healthy environment for the audience / participants. In addition to that, the programme supports basic operating expenses i.e. rent, utilities and marketing costs.

    Arts Venue Recovery Programme supports up to RM 35,000 per participating venue for the duration of six (6) months. Training costs is fully undertaken by CENDANA.

    Visual Arts Showcase Funding Programme encourages and supports the contemporary expression of visual art through independent, alternative and experimental art venues, artist-run spaces and underserved neighbourhood culture activators as well as independent art curators and organisers that are actively engaged in the Malaysian visual arts sector outside the traditional commercial gallery and museum framework.

    Performing Arts Presentation Funding Programme aims to support growth of the performing arts sector through creation of work, development of practice, building networks, facilitation of arts projects, upskilling initiatives, as well as mobility and promotion of Malaysian made showcases.     Adiguru CENDANA aims to encourage local communities who are committed to their artistry, traditions, and cultural heritage to engage in a shared national growth.

    The Programme also aims to sustain the development and ensure continuity of traditional art forms of Malaysia by recognising the achievements of masters of traditional performing arts, visual arts, music and craft throughout Malaysia, as well as to create awareness and encourage transfer of knowledge and documentation work, in addition to supporting partnerships between regional economic corridor development and these local communities.

    Art in the City Public Art Commissioning Programme is an initiative to make art part of our urban spaces and bring art closer to Malaysians. It aims to achieve this by commissioning Malaysian artists to create a unique public artwork/ community art-based programmes that present public art engagement for selected/ proposed sites. These sites are spaces for the public to live, work and play.

    The programme will provide opportunities for Malaysian individual artists, collectives and organisations, in addition to community art-based groups nationwide to nurture vibrancy in their cities to deliver sustainable artistic program or services for the arts through the creation and presentation of art activities and initiatives to be held in public spaces in Malaysia.

    The programme supports the mentioned projects from the performing arts, visual arts, independent music and crafts sector.

  • Di bawah Belanjawan 2021, sebanyak RM15 juta ringgit diperuntukkan kepada Agensi Pembangunan Ekonomi Seni Budaya atau CENDANA untuk melaksanakan pelbagai program kesenian dan kebudayaan yang bakal memanfaatkan lebih 5,000 penggiat seni dan petugas belakang tabir. Inisiatif dibawah Belanjawan 2021 ini termasuk pakej PRISMA dan Inisiatif Pemulihan CENDANA yang lain.

    PRISMA merupakan singkatan bagi Pakej Rangsangan Industri Kreatif Malaysia. PRISMA adalah antara inisiatif penting jangka pendek Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia bagi membantu kelangsungan dan kelestarian penggiat dan pemain industri di Malaysia sejajar dengan pembudayaan normal baharu berikutan pandemik COVID-19 dan pematuhan kepada Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan yang dikuatkuasakan.

    Pilihan Industri Seni Kraf bertujuan untuk menaikkan industri kraftangan Malaysia dengan menawarkan pengiktirafan dan penghargaan khas kepada artisan Malaysia, pembuat kraf dan pengeluar seni tradisional, kraf dan perdagangan terancam demi kelestarian ekonomi kraf Malaysia.

    Melalui pendekatan pelbagai lapisan, Pilihan Industri Seni Kraf memilih dan memberi insentif kepada artisan, pembuat kraf, dan pengeluar mahir dengan adil ke seluruh negara untuk pengembangan dan pengeluaran produk mereka.

    Dalam semangat melestarikan dan mengekalkan karya seni kraf, Pilihan Industri Seni Kraf mendorong artisan Malaysia yang mahir di sektor kraf untuk terus menghasilkan, berinovasi dan memasarkan kraf mereka sebagai sumbangan langsung kepada ekonomi kraf dengan mengemukakan permohonan mereka atau dengan mencalonkan mana-mana seniman di dalam industri kraf.

    Program pembiayaan ini menggalakkan usahasama di antara pelbagai sektor seni, pengembangan kualiti penghasilan karya, meluaskan akses terhadap seni dan seterusnya perkembangan menyeluruh terhadap sektor ini.

    Program Komisen Seni Awam Art in the City adalah inisiatif untuk menjadikan seni sebagai sebahagian daripada kawasan bandar kita dan mendekatkan seni dengan rakyat Malaysia. Tujuan ini boleh dicapai dengan mengkomisenkan para seniman Malaysia untuk membuat program seni masyarakat yang unik dengan menampilkan seni dengan penglibatan awam di lokasi terpilih / yang dicadangkan. Lokasi tersebut adalah ruang untuk orang ramai tinggal, bekerja dan bermain.

    Program ini akan memberi peluang kepada seniman, kolektif dan organisasi individu Malaysia, selain kumpulan seni masyarakat di seluruh negara untuk memupuk semangat di bandar mereka dengan menganjurkan program seni atau perkhidmatan terhadap sektor seni yang lestari melalui penciptaan dan persembahan aktiviti dan inisiatif seni untuk diadakan di tempat-tempat awam di Malaysia.

    Program ini menyokong projek-projek dari sektor seni persembahan, seni visual, sektor muzik independen dan juga kraf.
