In a concerted effort to encourage love for arts and culture in Malaysia, CENDANA launched ‘Bandar Aktiviti Seni Kuala Lumpur (BAS KL)’ on 3 March 2018. BAS KL is a promotional programme which urges families and high mobile individuals to escape to the arts (performance, music, visual) during the school break.

What is the objective of the programme?

BAS KL aims to increase attendance and consumption of the arts by amplifying exhibitions and activities with partnering venues and organisations that play host to the arts and cultural scene in Greater Kuala Lumpur.

When is the next BASKL?

Saturday, 18 August 2018 - Sunday, 16 September 2018

How is BASKL promoted?

There will be a myriad of platforms utilised for the purpose of this promotional programme. This includes above-the-line (for e.g. radio, press) and below-the-line (for e.g. buntings, social media marketing) platforms. CENDANA learns from every promotional programme and reviews the different tools utilised to ensure an optimum reach to our target market. This time around, we will be also using social influencers to boost publicity and promotions.

Who are the participants involved in BASKL?

There are more than 15 venues that are part of this campaign. They include Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, No Black Tie, Publika amongst others. Some activities include Arts Festivals, Arts Bazaar, Street Festival, comedies, workshops and many more.

Visitors who go to the different art spaces will be able to collect e-stamps and be rewarded for every visit.

1 e-stamp = 1 FREE Tealive beverage voucher
2 e-stamps = 1 FREE KFC voucher worth RM20.00
4 e-stamps = Be in the running to win a pair of FREE dining tickets at Plane In The City.

Website and Activity Planner

There is a new and improved experience for visitors via BAS KL. In the website, there is a journey planner where you can plan your activities on that day. All the activities and events will be collated according to each day, and you will be able to find out what to do or where to go next.
In each venue, there will be an unique QR code for participants to scan and collect e-stamps.
